The goal of comprehensive counseling is to help high school students identify, apply and gain admission and financial aid at colleges that are the right fit for the student. Students may begin this process with a College Admission Coach as early as spring of 8th grade and select from a menu of services that include pre-college planning, selection of colleges that are appropriate targets for the student, guidance through the admissions process, scholarship and financial aid assistance, and help with decision-making related to choosing the college to attend. Students receive 40-80 hours of coaching, based on their needs and desires, plus a week-long Application Camp in August. Coaching may be performed face-to-face, by Zoom or via shared Google docs. Most coaching uses a mix of all of these communication methods. This package is available to US Domestic students. There is a sibling discount available!

- Pre-college Planning: high-school course review (including Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate options); extracurricular review; community service review; summer experience review; internship or work experience review; advice regarding standardized testing (what tests to take when and investment in prep courses)
- College Selection & List Building: college aspiration review; student likes/dislikes in relation to college type, location, and culture; review of student career interests and possible college majors; financial considerations; transcript and class rank review; suggestions of colleges to research; review of support systems available at colleges being considered; creation of college wish list including safety, match and reach schools; tools for college comparison; college visit planning; blogging and “insider” resources about colleges
- Application Process: application timeline creation; advice regarding early decision, early admission, and early action options; assistance with the common application and school-specific applications; disclosure of special needs; disclosure of special circumstances; reference letter advice; admission essay topic selection; admission essay critique and editing; synergy of multiple essays; student resume creation; student website creation; social media review; admission and alumni interview practice
- Scholarships and Financial Aid: financial aid resources; financial aid guidance on FAFSA and CSS Profile; scholarship resources; scholarship essay topic selection; scholarship essay critique and editing

App Camp Plus+ : $4000
Ideal for families focused on list-building and essay support
- Three hours of one-on-one virtual time with an experienced College Admission Coach building a balanced college application list. This list must be completed prior to App Camp
- Attend the 30-hour App Camp in August before your senior year (See below for App Camp details.)
- Three hours post-camp with your coach for either supplemental essay review (via Google docs--time accounted in 15-minute increments) or application checking (one-on-one virtual) prior to submission.
College Application Camp Class of 2026: $2995

During this 30-hour College Application Camp you will:
- Complete the Common Application or some state school applications (without supplements)
- Finish two essays
- personal statement
- one "Why this college?" supplemental essay
- Complete an academic and activity resume
- Compose recommender requests
- Prepare and practice interviewing
- Have fun, while getting important tasks done!
Important Details:
- Limited spots available
- Sessions are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with an hour lunch break
- Some pre-work required (approx. three hours)
- What we won't do: standardized test preparation, interest/career testing, exploration of college majors, appropriate college list creation, supplemental applications and essays, scholarship searches, college visit planning

“Festival of the Last Minute” Comprehensive Counseling Package: $8000
For current fall seniors This package is for current seniors who are beginning their college search, discovery, and application process at the beginning of their senior year. Whether your student has identified an appropriate list of schools (or needs help developing one), College Admission Coach can help! This package provides all the same services offered in our comprehensive package, minus pre-college planning and AppCamp, but in a more concentrated time frame. Students will have the same end results: a great list of college choices when the time comes to make a decision in the spring. To accomplish the full college application process in a condensed time frame, students are required to commit to two weekly meetings with their coach, one 90-minute group writing session, and an additional 2-4 hours of independent work outside of the meeting times. |
College-Related Hourly Assistance: $220 per hour, or $600 for 3-hour pre-paid time blocks
