Independent Educational Consultant Caroline has been teaching English and History for over two decades. Working with teens is what she loves best. She knows how to build relationships, foster rapport, and keep students organized. Caroline’s expertise in teaching the writing process allows her students to develop meaningful essays. Her student-centered approach helps teens develop a sense of self, boost confidence and calmly navigate the college admissions process. Caroline guides students to find a college environment where they will thrive. Caroline grew up in Berkeley, CA where she walked the campus of UC Berkeley from a young age. After obtaining her BA from Willamette University in Salem, she returned to the Bay Area and pursued an MFA at the Academy of Art in San Fransisco. While on a photo shoot in a classroom, she found herself wanting to engage with the students rather than take pictures. She moved to Portland where she received her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College and her College Counseling Certificate from UCLA. Caroline loves to run, ski, cook, and grow produce in her fifteen raised garden beds. She can also be found exploring the beautiful Northwest with her husband and two kids. caroline@collegeadmissioncoach.com (503) 758-5613 100% Virtual |
I can't say enough about the work Caroline did with our daughter to help her work through the college application process. We thought we were signing up for a person (that wasn't us) to help our daughter with timelines and reviewing essays. And that was hugely helpful. However, the biggest value is Caroline's knowledge of how merit aid works, and which schools are most likely to provide merit aid. In the end, our daughter was accepted to a bunch of great colleges, with many providing large merit aid packages. So yes, using College Admission Coach was totally worth it!

Caroline was amazing to work with, and she provided me with a stress-free but effective college application process. Even during our first few meetings she was very easy to connect with and introduced me to a wide variety of colleges based on my interests. Caroline helped me make sense of a very confusing application process that I definitely wouldn't have understood had I not worked with her, and the deadlines she set for me meant that I was able to complete nearly all of my college application work the summer before senior year.
